Based on a popular manga, Minami (Itoh Misaki) is a single 28-year-old office worker in an advertising office. She's very work-oriented and her love is doubted by her boyfriend. One day, she meets Yuya (Kamenashi Kazuya), who is a part-time worker at her company. -- piccu on D-Addicts
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tokyo, 2006. Minami Fujii (Misaki ITO) is riding a train along Tokyo Bay. Weary from a day's work, she falls asleep while on the train. Her nap time is obstructed by the sound of somebody's cell phone ringing. She opens her eyes to see the phone lying unattended on a nearby seat. Reluctantly, she answers the phone. It's a man claiming to have dropped his phone. He wants Minami to deliver it to him before his job interview begins. However, since Minami too has a meeting she must attend, she takes the phone to the lost and found department of a nearby station.

On her way to work, Minami spots an old commercial being shown on a big-screen TV. She immediately takes a picture of it with her camera. That's when she realizes that someone else is also absorbed in the commercial. It's Yuya Ishida (Kazuya KAMENASHI), the young man who called to have his cell phone delivered.

Kyotaro Imaoka (Koichi SATO), creative director of an advertisement agency, is having a meeting at an insurance company with Kunio Sakuragi (Kazuyuki AIJIMA) and Satoshi Hagiwara (EITA). Minami soon joins the meeting. They have come to give a presentation for the new TV commercial for their company.

Meanwhile, Yuya has arrived at the place where he will have his interview. He is immediately given a tour of the office as well as a lecture on commercial planning. He has no idea that Minami has returned to the office and is having a meeting with Kyotaro and the others.

Later on, Yuya delivers mail to Minami. At first, she doesn't even look up at him. But when she does, it only takes 15 seconds—the same length as a television commercial—for Minami to realize that she had ran into Yuya while watching the commercial on the big-screen TV, and it was also his cell phone that she picked up on the train.

Personal review
Well, my dad starting watching the Chinese subbed version, and i just downloaded the English subbed version just to see how it is (note that i did not know that Itoh Misaki was in it even when i finished watching Densha Otoko). I downloaded it, 1st episode was pretty funny then I just couldn't stop watching, its funny and leans on the romance parts too. This drama would definitely interest you because KAT-TUN's Kamenashi Kazuya is there to make this drama funny
I give 5/5 for this.
if youre gonna watch this, im not gonna spoil it for you ^_^

my opinion : )

After view the first episode of Rondo, I realized how much Nishijima Sho sacrifices to do what he thinks is right. He plays two roles in the face of justice, one as a loyal, dedicated member towards the leader, but also an undercover agent who continuously reports back to his detective. Not only does he leave behind his family, his friends, he also chooses to leave behind his real life, working solely towards the mission of closing off the mafia.

It must be so exhausting for him; switching his roles back and forth, back and forth, never really knowing his true identity, or even doing something for himself - not just following orders of the leader and the detective. But as tiring as things are, he keeps going, with the hope that one day, the very same group of people who killed his father, will pay their debt.

Ah it's such an inspirational drama; so self-giving! It really inspires me to try to work for a certain cause that touches me very much, not necessarily losing a family member but just having the motivation to really try to make a change in a subject that really matters to me : ]

(i love i love mokomichi 8D harhar)

it's such a great dorama! and the quality of the production of such a drama is superb : ) DAISUKI! haha i'm wondering if anyone has watched it so far. tbs is going to be playing it tonight at 9pm, the 6th episode : ]

Synopsis:
The 44th NHK Taiga Drama is about the life of Minamoto no Yoshitsune (源 義経) (1159 - May_17, 1189) was a late Heian and early Kamakura general of the Minamoto clan of Japan. Yoshitsune was the ninth son of Minamoto no Yoshitomo. His older brother Minamoto no Yoritomo founded the Kamakura shogunate. Exiled and seperated from his mother at a young age by Lord Kiyomori, who he thought to be his father, Ushiwaka learns of his place in the Genji family and that Lord Kiyomori was his enemy and that he was destined to lead the Genji to battle against Lord Kiyomori of the Heike.

I've been watching this series for a while now and am nearing the end. So far, this has been the best Taiga I've seen. 2004's Shinsengumi was good but this is so much better. The way the story develops, the relationship between Yoshitsune and his vassals, the strengthening of bonds and the occasional appearence of Ueto Aya as Utsubo make this series an all out hit for me. The action is choreographed with great care to give the feel of a real battle from the time of feudal Japan. The politics, the military, the devious Ex-emperor, and the fight for the capital and a new country of peace drive the warriors on either side of this epic encounter of power. I recommend everyone should give it a try.

J-Dorama Summer '06

Now most of the spring dorama has finished, such as Kurosagi, Attention Please etc. and I guess all you dorama fans are waiting for the new series of summer dorama no? Tongue Let's discuss which dorama you'll be chasing this summer, some of them look really promising to me in terms of casting, story.

Here's a partial list of summer dorama '06:

My best bet will be on Taiyou no Uta, mainly because of the casting and the story. This dorama stars Yamada Takayuki and Sawajiri Erika. A movie based on the same story are currently showing in Japan starring YUI and Tsukamoto Takashi, which probably generated enough hype for this dorama to be a success. Sawajiri looks really pretty in this dorama with long silky hair, take a look at this beautiful promo image:

I'll definitely keep my eye on this dorama once it start being broadcasted in Japan. Other dorama that looks promising includes Ueto Aya's Shimokita Sunday and Itoh Misaki's Suppli, which also stars KAT-TUN's Kamenashi Kazuya (so we have Yamapi for spring and Kame for summer eh?).

Unlike her previous workplace, the medical ward is a crucial place where patients who survived the emergency room must be looked after with extreme care. But it’s also a place for dishonest and unskilled doctors. Moreover, it is also a place for cozy ties between politicians and doctors, where the priority is not patient care but profit.

Still, Aoi puts every effort forward to take care of patients with her heart and soul. The harder she tries, the more she is alienated from the proud doctors. But with the support of another nurse, Kyoko Komine, and also Dr. Takagi, Aoi succeeds in changing the minds of those around her.

My Opinion

To tell the truth I only started watching this drama because of Ishihara Satomi, I've loved all the drama's shes been in so I was pretty sure I'd love this one too. And I was right, this drama is awsome, its diffrent for all the other drama's I've watched since its based in a hospital. But that really gives it an edge and a bit of originality since there arent many medical drama's. Its really fun to watch Satomis character convercing with all the rest of the characters since she seems to actually care about the patients while all the others only seem to care about making money.

Kobayakawa Nobuki no Koi

Title - 小早川伸木の恋

Synopsis - It portrays how a man is torn between his wife who suffers some kind of malady and his love for another woman. In this drama, he faces many problems, like how his affair with the other woman got filmed by another colleague who was trying to damage his reputation. I also like his daughter who tries hard to patch things up for the couple, who has a rocky relationship. It's also kind of amusing, so it's pretty interesting to watch.

Genre - Romance

Casting
Karasawa Toshiaki as Kobayakawa Nobuki 小早川伸木
